Rebecca Woodcock founded CakeHealth, a company that aims to help people receive more affordable healthcare by making the medical expense process transparent. CakeHealth is a web-based free medical IT service that enables patients to understand and manage their medical costs.

The prestigious Inc. Magazine recently included Rebecca in its list of “15 Women in Tech to Watch in 2012.” Rebecca’s venture has received seed financing from premier investors such as Kirill Sheynkman, George Zachary and 500 Startups.

CareLinx

Sherwin Sheik is a healthcare entrepreneur who is leveraging information technology to disrupt and enhance the in-home caregiving industry. Sherwin’s company CareLinx is a web-based professional caregiver network. It offers health IT solutions to help individual patients and organizations identify, evaluate, pay and manage caregivers who fit in with their specific needs and budget.

The market for caregivers is growing, considering an aging population, and CareLinx is a company present at the right place at the right time. Based out of San Francisco, CareLinx has already raised funds to the tune of $1.5 million. Its network comprises of thousands of caregivers spread all over the country. Sherwin had a successful previous career as a healthcare market analyst and trader at a leading Hedge Fund, prior to establishing CareLinx.

Empower Interactive

Eve Phillips is a medical IT entrepreneur who aims to bring down the cost and improve accessibility of behavioral health solutions. Eve is the co-founder and CEO of Empower Interactive, which also aims to improve evidence-based psychotherapy. This innovative e-learning and telehealth company operates out of San Francisco, and aspires to transform the lives of patients across the world with its health IT solutions. Prior to establishing Empower Interactive, Eve had worked with leading companies such as Microsoft, eCert, and Zazzle, and was also a part of investment teams at Vector Capital, Amadeus Capital Partners, and Greylock Partners.
