Providing you target audience with an engaging visual portal is simply a necessary evil; numerous studies have indicated that audiences respond better to visual elements. Here’s the catch, much like any other piece of content that you put out there, your medical practice video needs optimizing for it to rank better.

Make your Channel Stand out

A stellar video needs adequate support to deliver results. Support begins with optimizing your channel name, the icon you decide to use, and most important, the description. A number of customizable channel options can improve the discoverability potential of your video. It is always best to go with a short, memorable, and unique channel name that best represents your medical practice brand. Moving on to your channel’s icon – you can simply go with a square, high-resolution image of your brand’s logo or use another image of your choice. Your channel description is important; people will read this so make sure it highlight’s your medical practice brand effectively.

Upload Custom Thumbnails for your Videos

If you are going to upload custom thumbnails for your medical practice video uploads, make sure the image you use is large as this image will serve as a preview image in the embedded player. Additional things to keep in mind

  • Try to keep it under the 2MB limit
  • Use a resolution of 1280×720 and minimum width of 640 pixels

Expand your Subscriber Base

Your medical practice video channel subscribers can serve as loyal brand ambassadors so get them more involved in your videos. Build a system of active interaction by encouraging them to comment on your videos and then responding to their comments.
